What a lovely sunny day! I didn’t think we would be getting any of these this year.

Lovely and warm – the perfect Summer’s day as… Today I received my very first commission! I’m so excited I can’t wait to get to the studio and start playing. To make bowls and coasters from the lace of this very lovely old wedding dress which belonged to the lady’s mother. (Incidentally it would have been her mother’s birthday today)

I feel very lucky – like I’ve been granted a special honour. The glass of wine I had while getting to know Sally might have added to the warm glow I feel… who knows?
